From the south

  • I-95 on the Maine Turnpike northbound.
  • Take Exit 44 (formerly 6A).
  • 2 miles after tollbooth, on I-295, take Exit 4, "Portland Downtown | Portland Waterfront."
  • Cross over the Veteran's Memorial Bridge. At end of bridge, take a right at stoplight.
  • Go straight through light and merge onto Commercial St., eastbound.
  • Pass under Casco Bay Bridge.  At first stoplight (½ mile), turn right into the Portland Fish Pier complex.
  • The Exchange is directly ahead, a large tan building with 8 loading bay doors.

From the north via I-295 (Brunswick/Freeport)

  • I-295 southbound into Portland.
  • Take Exit 7, "Franklin St. Arterial."
  • Follow Franklin St. arterial through 5 stoplights, all within ½ mile, up and down a large hill through the center of Portland.
  • At sixth stoplight (intersection of Franklin St. arterial and Commercial St.), opposite the Casco Bay Lines ferry terminal, turn right onto Commercial St., westbound.
  • At second stoplight (¼ mile), turn left into the Portland Fish Pier complex.
  • The Exchange is directly ahead, a large tan building with 8 loading bay doors.

From the north via I-95 (Lewiston/Auburn)

  • Maine Turnpike southbound toward Portland.
  • Take Exit 48 (formerly 8).
  • After toll, turn left onto Riverside St., eastbound.
  • At first stoplight (opposite a Denny's restaurant), turn left on Rt. 25.
  • After 2½ miles, at stoplight, turn right onto St. John's St.
  • Through 2 stoplights and after 1½ miles, at third stoplight bear right then immediately left to merge onto Commercial St., eastbound.
  • Pass under Casco Bay Bridge.  At first stoplight (½ mile), turn right into the Portland Fish Pier complex.
  • The Exchange is directly ahead, a large tan building with 8 loading bay doors.
